Robin Hood Take 52

 Robin Hood, take 52.

Hollywood, in their infinite wisdom decides that they cannot think of any other story to let’s do Robin Hood again!  Yeah!

proof #345 that that today’s Hollywood writers/producers/studios are lazy and lack creative fortitude.

I like the Robin Hood story, everybody does, right?!

I admit, I liked Kevin Costner’s Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and the latest BBC rendition of Robin Hood–although the first two seasons were better than the third.

I like Russell Crowe, my favorite present-day He-Man, but….

but…

Robin Hood, again??

Okay…yeah…this movie looks tight, and I do wanna see–especially with Cate Blanchett…

but…

Are we doing Robin Hood Again?  This is 52nd version of Robin Hoodof the story.
No doubt, there are other legends and ancient stories that have been repeated throughout the years and every generation needs to learn these stories–true.

From the previews, this is obviously not your typical Robin Hood tale, so that’s something.  In fact, I think that’s the main reason why I’d see it. The BBC series of Robin Hood cured me of “It doesn’t happen that way in the story!”  when they killed Maid Mariam at the end of the second season.

broke my heart it did…even now I get teary-eyed.

So…after I see it. I’ll let you know what I think…
